There’s a lesson we can all learn from Desmond: never judge a book by its cover. This Tassie Devil looks and sounds like a real party animal, but in fact he’s a shy guy, who’s mostly focused on finding – and appreciating – his next delicious meal. The animals were a bit wary of Des when he first showed up, thinking he was loud and obnoxious like the rest of the Devils. In fact, at meal times they avoided him altogether. But then Des started sharing his knowledge of food with the others, explaining how using sight, smell and touch can make eating an even more amazing experience. The others were fascinated, and have loved hanging out with Desmond ever since.
